Lilli è una cocker spaniel che si sente abbandonata quando i suoi umani hanno un bambino. Quando arriva la zia Sarah con i suoi inquietanti siamesi, Lilli esce nel mondo e conosce Rover, un cane vagabondo, dal quale imparerà cosa significa essere liberi.
